Villa La Massa Hotel is a Medician villa built in the 16th century by the powerful several Aristochratic Familes Pecori-Giraldi resided here. In 1948 Villa La Massa was transformed into a luxury hotel. Some of its fomous guests were Clark Gable, Wiston Churchill, Elizabet Taylor e Richard Burton, Barbara Hutton e David Niven. Recently David Bowie and Iman rented the entire villa for their wedding. Here you will savor the gentle art of living. For lovers of Italy and its flamboyant Renaissance. This hotel offers 39 spacious guestrooms and suites in a four-story villa and in two flanking two-story buildings without elevators.
The hotel sits on a high river bank buttressed by an ancient stone wall. Broad lawns, cypress trees, flower beds, and a vine-covered chapel highlight the grounds. Open from late March until early November, this hotel attracts an international clientele seeking rest and relaxation in the sun-drenched Tuscan countryside.
