Sofitel Winter Palace, a superior deluxe hotel in a Victorian building was built in 1886 and renovated in 1994. This hotel is ideally situated for visitors to the area and has a warm and welcoming atmosphere that emphasises friendly and hospitable service.
Built in 1886 to attract the nobility of Europe, the Winter Palace is continental English in atmosphere. One does not get the feeling of Egypt so much as of an oasis of European flavor and Victorian charm.
