Hotel Ranga is a luxury countryside hotel built in log-cabin style. It offers all the facilities and services of a first-class hotel. Right on the banks of the famous salmon river The Eystri-Rangá, the hotel offers an optimal atmosphere to meet every travelers needs whether they be relaxation, pleasure, adventure or business.
Hotel Ranga has 45 luxuriously decorated rooms, an acclaimed riverside restaurant, a lounge & bar, 2 upstairs meeting rooms and 3 much beloved outdoor hot tubs - where there is an excellent chance to view the fantastic northern lights during September through April.
Upon entering Hotel Ranga, you will be greeted by a towering 10-foot tall polar bear named Hrammur that resides in the lobby. He is a favorite model for photographers and is definitely one of the most pictured objects in Iceland. This is just a prelude to the cozy ambience that you will encounter that vibrates throughout the hotel.

Hotel Ranga's very well-reputed and romantic gourmet "Restaurant 4" seats 110 people downstairs + 100 upstairs in the 2 meeting rooms. The theme is Icelandic/Scandinavian cuisine with a touch of the modern French & Italian kitchen.
* Hotel Ranga also features their almost legendary Scandinavian Christmas Buffet, where over 60 different mouthwatering dishes from all the Scandinavian countries are delicately prepared and served. Companies are already booking this highlighted event one year in advance to ensure availability. * Iceland enjoys the unique resource of having large amounts of geothermic springs. To bath in this naturally heated water is refreshing and healthy. Hotel Ranga has 3 outdoor hot tubs heated with natural spring water, facing the river and accessible for all the hotel guests. Hotel Ranga urges everyone to use them during their stay. * Conference & Meeting:
Hotel Ranga has over the years offered a suitable meeting room on the 2nd floor for smaller meeting. Hotel Ranga receives groups of over 100 people and a total dining capacity of over 200 people on two floors with access by an elevator. The new riverfront dining room is on the first floor and can also be used as a meeting room for larger groups. The two conference rooms and the bar are on the 2nd floor with a stunning overview of the nearby volcanoes, glaciers and The Rangá River. All the modern equipped rooms are furnished with a wooden-cladding, giving a very warm ambience. Hotel Ranga can also offer facilities for meetings in its deluxe rooms or suites for smaller groups.
* Weddings:
Hotel Ranga is a perfect setting for, wedding, honeymoon, anniversary, birthday arrangements and romantic getaway. Hotel Ranga specializes in wedding arrangements and receptions. The ceremonies take place in the quaint and beautiful nearby church in Oddi (or at Skógarfoss waterfalls) and the reception takes place at the hotel. |

* Hotel Ranga offers 45 luxurious and cozy rooms including 24 superior rooms, 20 deluxe rooms and 1 royal suite.
* Superior Rooms:
There are nineteen (19) rooms with twin beds that can be put together upon prior requests, or five (5) with double queen beds. All rooms have a telephone, bathtub and a shower (3 handicap accessible rooms with shower only), desk, cabinet, minibar, hairdryer and TV. Rooms face either the riverside and the outdoor hot tubs (12 rooms with private balcony) or the famous volcano Mt. Hekla (almost all of these rooms are equipped with indoor Jacuzzis). Size 18m².
* Deluxe Rooms:
There are eighteen (18) rooms with king size beds and two (2) rooms with twin size beds. All rooms are equipped with CD and DVD player, radio, TV, indoor jacuzzi bathtub and shower, sofa with built-in bed, table, minibar, desk, bath robes, hairdryer and 10 rooms have flat screen TV. The rooms either face the riverside and the outdoor hot tubs (17 rooms are with private balcony) or the famous Volcano Mt. Hekla. Size 26m².
* Royal Suite:
There is one royal suite with double luxury king sized bed, indoor luxury jacuzzi bath tub, luxury bathroom with twin showers, 2 luxury sofas with built-in beds and chairs, 3 cabinets, luxury desk and chair, bar, 2 flat screen TVs including one plasma TV, a CD and DVD player with surround sound system, luxury bath robes and a hairdryer.
