Första New York resan
Läget på hotellet kanon, rummen helt ok, inga löss i sängen. Ointresserad personal i receptionen. Dyr mat i området. Amerikaner överlag verkar vara mkt ointresserade av turister, tycka att vi är mest till besvär. New Yorkers däremot kommer fram direkt när man har kartan framme och frågar "Are you lost" mkt trevligt.

The most distgusting hotel - what you see is not what you get...literally
We waited over an hour for check in and they lost our reservations. We had a very rude guy, at the front desk "helping us"...if that is what you want to call it. We witnessed him rudely talking to the next in line as we stood off to the side waiting for our reservations to be found. We finally got everything taken care of and went up to our room which looked like a roach motel. The smell of mold and the broken bathroom fixtures left nothing to be desired. The heat didn't work and no helpful staff to be found. The pictures of the hotel on the website are very decieving and would recommend that you stay somewhere else. Luckily we only stayed for one night.

my one night stay
i stayed from the 4th -5th just one night the room was large and clean , the location was perfect but as a treat it was a bit of a let down because the room 399 was like i said roomy but the bathroom sink was cracked and the ac /heater was like a freight train and the side table was missing a knob also there was no computer in the room i do not know if this is how all the rooms are and i hope not because it is ideal for my short business trips and i would like to stay there again but i would like to think i will be offered a better room . i hope this room is not the norm and i also hope that i was not given this room because i was only staying one night ,

Sehr gute Lage
Das Hotel ist riesig und hat eine beeindruckende Lobby, der 16. Stock war alles andere als einladend. Der Putz ist von den Wänden gebröckelt und die Teppiche haben ihren Dienst getan. Aber wir waren ja nur zum schlafen im Zimmer, denn New York hat so viel zu bieten das unser Aufenthalt von drei Tagen nicht ausgereicht hat. Das werden wir nachholen und sicher wieder dieses Hotel buchen , denn es liegt mitten in Manhattan und man kann alles zu Fuß erreichen um wirklich alles zu sehen. Und unten am Nebeneingang gibt es einen leckeren Imbiss mit den besten Gourmet Fries der ganzen Welt. :-D

never go there!
It was a terrible experience. We expected a lot from this hotel since it is quite expensive. We found a dirty room, with hairs on the bed and on the floor, the floor was sticky, very little light, broken closet, paint on ceiling and on walls fell in pieces, cracks everywhere, broken framedoors. One day the houskeeper did not clean the room and they let sheets over the bed and we had to do their work. The beds are small and the sheets even more so when you turn you uncover the other person. There was no hair dryer, heating did not work. Is a hotel in which there are many young people and schools groups and at nights you can heard screams, laughter and people running.
Finally when we went to complain to all this, the lady at reception was not at all sympathetic or understanding, just the opposite, she told us that why we were explaining all that things to her if she could not do anything!
Nothing similar about what appears in the pictures on the web. Neither the rooms nor the service are good.
There are better and cheapest hotels around.

RELIEF HOTELS OKAY
STAYING AT PENNS HOTELM FOR 5 DAYS WAS TOLD LOTS OF BAD STORYS SO WHEN I GOT HERE WAS PLEASANTLY SURPRISED.CLEAN BEDS AND TOWELS EVERYDAY,FANTASTIC LOCATION...SO ALL GOOD....

The location was ideal and the service was adequate, but we found the room to be in horrendous condition. Overall, there was very little upkeep concerning the condition of the hotel. Our room was extremely filthy. Something of which I am unfamiliar with. The rooms were also infested with insects of different species. (arachnids and roaches) My husband and I make it a practice to read hotel reviews before reserving, so therefore we thought that taking the time to write an honest review of our experience at this hotel might be useful for those who are hotel shopping in N.Y...
