Excellent hotel for 2**
Stayed at this hotel for 3 night in May 2009.
Excellent in all respects: price, location, cleanness, furnishing (I stayed in the renewed part), helpful staff. Hightly recommend it to people not spoiled with 5***** amenities :) |

Pleasant stay
Despite mix reviews that we have read on Oasis hotel, we decided to take a chance. The location of the hotel could not be better – it’s just 10 min walk from Barcelona city centre, just 5-10 mins walk from the train station, 10 min to La Ramblas, beach and marina. The metro stop is only 2 mins walk away. This 2 star hotel is half renovated and half not. We were lucky to get a room in a newly refurbished part of the hotel. Our room seemed clean and well presented, especially for a two star hotel. The shower and TV both worked well. The receptionist we dealt with was very helpful. And the staff at the breakfast seemed very on top of things and buffet breakfast was well supplied. Overall, we were so much pleased with Oasis hotel, we would not hesitate to recommend Oasis for its location and overall value, however just make sure that you book a right room in order to guarantee a pleasant stay. |

I found the Hotel Oasis a fantastic two stars Hotel. The room was very nice and very clean. The situation of the hotel is unbeatable, between the beach and the gothic neighborhood. The staff was very pleasant. I will return next year. |

Having read a few bad reviews on this site I was a bit worried about the standard of hotel I was going to.
This worry was to be unfounded as the accomodation was of a higher standard than other 4 or 5 * hotels I have visited. The room was newly refurbished incl new bathroom, and was extremely clean.
Breakfast was basic but no more than I expected as per described (continental).
I would advise that you avoid eating in the restaurant/bar next door as the food isn't the best.
Location was good it is down by the Port Vell which gives easy access to many restaurants and bars.
I would recommend this hotel to anyone. |

Hello,
I just stayed in Hotel Oasis and liked it al lot! It's a nice hotel on a perfect location. That's because it's only a 10 minute walk to the beach and The Ramblas.
The rooms are clean and there's everything you need like cabel-tv and airco. Unfortunately the standard rooms are a bit noisy. Not from the outside but you can hear the other hotelguests in the rooms near you.
The breakfast is OK (buffet-form) and you can have good dinners for only ?‚?8 in the evening.
The staff is friendly and gives good service if there's a problem. |

I and my wife came back from Barcelona this night. We stayed on Oasis. The room was renowed and in good condition. The hotel is sentral: 2 min from Port Veil and 2 min from Bari Gotic. The Barcelona Tourist Bus goes only 1 min from the hotel(the blue line). TRY IT! |

We recently stayed at the Hotel Oasis. We found the staff very friendly & helpful. The rooms although basic were clean & had ensuite facilities. Centrally located just 2 minutes walk away from Port Vell & less than 10 minutes walk from La Rambla. The only problem we encountered was the lack of parking. The hotel advertised that it had its own carpark which is in fact a public carpark costing at least 20 Euros per night. Other than that we had a great time & would recommend the restaurant & bar to anybody. |

We recently stayed at the Oasis Hotel, Barcelona and found the hotel very central (10 minutes walk to Las Ramblas), staff very helpful and the rooms, although small, very clean and maintained to a high standard. The breakfast buffet was really good also. |

Just came back from Barcelona where I stayed at the Hotel Oasis. I've been to Barcelona before and knew what to expect from a 2 star budget hotel, but I was pleasantly surprised with this hotel. The room was small but very clean and had new furniture, tv, modern bathroom. The sheets were only changed once on the 4th night, the towels were changed daily. Shampoo, body wash, soap and even a shower cap were available.
Little extras like an elevator, magnetic key, hangers in the closet and hairdryer definitely put this hotel above average in my book. A free continental breakfast, although not supurb, was a great way to start the day and not have to worry about finding a place to eat. Also the hotel has a restaurant where they serve 'menu del dia' for about 12 euros which includes 3 courses. NOTE: The hotel is currently undergoing a renovation. I was lucky to stay at an already remodeled room, so if you're planning to stay at this hotel, make sure to inquire about your room in advance. Because of the renovations it can be loud at times but only during the day when most sightseeing would be out of the hotel anyway. Another great thing about this hotel is its location. A 1 min walk to Barceloneta stop on the yellow line and a bus stop in front of the hotel. The hotel is located on the edge of Barrio Gotico (Gothic Quarter) and close to Port Vell (the old port). A cab ride at night from the center of the city would run me about 4 - 6 euros. But take the Metro if it's still open, it's cheap and quick. From the hotel to the airport the cab ride was 19 euros. This 2 star budget hotel is great for the price and its location is convenient if you're planning to do sightseeing. |

From 17.01 till 24.01 2004 we stayed in Hotel Oasis, which is sometimes also named "Oasis II". Our choice was made based on the good reviews in this forum as well as a very affordable price offered by hotelsspain for this hotel. No need to repeat the good reviews again - our (high) expectations were met. The third floor is still under renovation, so expect some noise during daytime. At night, the noise level caused by the (busy) road outside and by guests in other rooms is on an average level.We booked a double room (one bed for two) and were surprised to get a twin room instead. Luckily, the hotel staff arranged for us to move to a double room after the first night, which speaks for the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. Most of the rooms are twin rooms, only 5 have double beds! So if you are looking for a double, make sure that you _really_ get one in advance. Otherwise, you will probably get a twin.Overall a good choice! |
