Ios is known for it’s clean, beautiful, golden-sand beaches and it’s terrific night life. It is also known for it’s history, as it is said that Homer was buried here. You may visit his tomb or the museum. Ios combines both a relaxing holiday for families and older people, as well as a perfect night life for youngsters of all ages.
The nearest beach to the Golden Sun hotel is a beautiful bay, “Jamaria” and further on, “Koumbara” beach. There are also fine, traditional “tavernas” where you can also enjoy a perfect meal or cafeterias for a small snack, ice-cream and drinks. |
